The Park Tennis Take

The Park Tennis Take

For years, buying Roger Federer's retail racquet meant buying the part of Roger's game least available at retail: Roger Federer. The RF97 Autograph weighed 340 grams unstrung and rewarded timing, strength, and contact that had already filed its paperwork. The RF 01 begins with a different question. In 2022, Federer asked Wilson for a faster racquet that could deal with the modern baseline without abandoning the whole court. The comeback never happened. The racquet did. The standard RF 01 is the useful result: 98 square inches, 300 grams unstrung, quick through the air, and far more realistic than the 320-gram Pro sitting beside it. It still wants a player who swings and moves forward. It simply stops charging admission in Grand Slams. The initials are still his. The racquet has finally made room for yours.
