The Park Tennis Take

The Park Tennis Take

The Defyer 98 Pro is the kind of new frame that arrives at the park before your forehand does. The Adrenalyn-red finish will get noticed, passed around, and probably hit by half the court before the first set. Underneath the theater is a serious 98-square-inch racquet: 305 grams unstrung, a 16x20 pattern, and a setup aimed at experienced players who already bring their own speed. At $299, your game should probably back up the entrance—or at least give everyone a good demo while the court time is still free.

Description

Description

Wilson’s Defyer 98 Pro V1 is a 27-inch performance tennis racquet with a 98-square-inch head, 305-gram unstrung weight, 31.5-centimeter unstrung balance, and 16x20 string pattern. Wilson positions the model for advanced, full-swinging players seeking spin and controlled power. Its TORQ Shaft is designed to transfer energy from the swing into the hoop, while the SI3D construction combines a more flexible hoop with a stiffer throat. An Airfoil Bumper is intended to reduce drag through the swing. The first Concept Edition carries REDLINE on the throat; Wilson states that its frame and specifications match the standard Defyer. The racquet is sold unstrung.
